  1. Cheers for that, now i begin the "give me what you owe me" part...
  2. That's great, but does it matter that i have already sent off a letter to the bank stateing a lower amount for interest?
  3. Hello all, i am about to start my court action against Barclays. On my spreadsheet and subsequent letters (which i sent to the bank), i have totalled the amount of interest up to the point of the last bank charge (which was in 2004) There has been no money added in charges between the period of 2004 and 2007 current date. Can i claim for this amount, on top of the amount i an claiming for between the bank charges period (2003-2004)???
  4. Maybe i should sent the letter to both address???... (or is that me being dumb???)
  5. Cheers all, i'll be counting down the days till i send the LBA. I'll keep you all posted...
  6. Thanks Crashbandicoot, Just to recap, in 14 days from now, send them the 'Letter before action' letter. That letter starts, 'I am very disappointed that you have failed to respond to my letter' They have responded, just not in the way i had hoped. And than 14 days after that, file a court claim. Is that correct??
  7. I sent off my Preliminary Letter to my bank, which they recieved, they sent me back a letter which says: I am sorry you are unhappy with the charges you have incurred. Your comments are receiving attention and one of my team will contact you as soon as possible. May i take this opportunity to explain that whilst we will endeavour to respond to you within timescales outlined in your letter, we cannot guarantee that we will do so. Sometimes it does take longer to fully investigate a complaint. However we do aim to find a solution within four weeks. If we are not able to do so, we will always write to you explaining what is happening. A full report or an update on our progress will be sent to you within eight weeks' EIGHT WEEKS!!! Are these delaying tactic? Should i proceed with court action? Has anyone else recieved a letter like this and which letter should i respond to it with??? Helpppp!!!
  8. Can anyone give me a good Natwest address to send my Preliminary:) letter too, also do i need to register the letter? Cheers.

  14. Hello I am new to all this (reclaiming bank charges) my account was shut down last year by my bank because there were insufficent funds in it, at the time i owed them about one hundred pounds. I am now paying them back that money and need to know if this situation affects me claiming charges from my old bank?
