  1. Thanks for the quick reply. I was obviously planning on contacting the bank and figuring out exactly how long the account has been open for, and a list of all charges incurred. Not sure what a CCA request is, so I'll look into that and follow it up. No worries for the personal questions, I appreciate your help very much. My Nan has cancer and has been given a roughly year to live, I'm not sure if this counts for anything.
  2. Hey guys, I am asking this question on behalf of my Nan. She is 84 years old and has a £1500 debt with Llyods TSB (credit card by the looks of things) which she has had for over 10 years (or perhaps longer, she is old an can't remember.) Without going into specifics, she is living in a eldery home on her pension and can only manage to clear the interest every month (£30) which she uses her pension for. I was just wondering if there is anything I can do to help her, sicne this debt is extremely old and she is clearly not in a position to ever pay it off... what kind of options are open to her? Thanks very much.
  3. Thanks for the reply, I'll continue with my claim. In regards to what I should send in response, should I simply reply saying that I understand that cases are being stayed, but I am giving them 14 days to refund me or I will make a case against them in court, then just wait 14 days to do so?
  4. Hey guys, I have been following the guides on this website and I received the initial response from Nationwide today. As expected, they are playing the OFT card but something in the letter has got me a little confused. They mention that if I am considering taking the case to court, they have agreements to postpone the hearing until the case has been concluded. Am I wasting my time taking Nationwide to court? Secondly, after reading through the response letter, it seems a little out dated for the context of their reply. Should I write my own reply, saying I am aware of the OFT situation or should I just stick to the standard response letter despite it being very similar to the one I originally sent?
