    Bad News

Hi all I've just got back from representing my wife at gateshead court. I had all the arguments against the imposition of a stay (including hardship) however the Judge had been told by his boss (whoever a County Court Judges boss is!) that he must stay all cases and he said he couldn't direct the bank to cease imposing charges until the outcome of the OFT case. I would recommend anyone going into court to take in proof that the judge can impose that order (not sure if it's been done yet?) Thanks for all the help from all of you on this site, reading others stories and advice has been very useful. One question now, does anyone think it worth applying for the stay to be lifted? My Court seems to have firmly made up it's mind and my feeling is it would be a waste of the fee?? Thanks Ian
  2. Just had a stay imposed at gateshead, seems like all cases there are now being stayed
  3. Update from Gateshead, they now say all cases are being stayed however ours (which is scheduled for thursday) may not be affected due to the satge it's at. Will know more tomorrow.
