  1. Need a bit of guidance if possible. Will try and be as accurate as possible. A few months ago it appears I messed up my online banking and by accident cancelled my standing order to pay my nationwide credit card...I have an old bad habit of not reading CC statements as they just say what I have spent and paid. I came back into the country last Tuesday and on the Saturday went to use my bank card and it was eaten by the machine. I phoned nationwide who couldn't help as the department who had frozen my account (Unsecured Debt Recovery Lending Control) were closed until Monday. Lat

    40 Days Up

Today is the 40th day since my recorded DPA arrived at HSBC. I have not even had them acknowledge receipt of my request other than the copy I sent by email to customer relations that they are looking into it. Is this normal behavior from them now?
  4. Would this be an acceptable DPA chaseup? 08/09/2006 Data Protection Act 1998 Subject Access Request Dear Sir/Madam ACCOUNT NUMBERS: On 09/08/2006 I requested that you supply me with a complete list of transactions and charges relating to my banking history with your organisation in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. This request was delivered to you and signed for on 10/08/2006, While I am aware that under the Data Protection Act 1998 you have a further 9 days to comply I would like to see some indication that you intend to acknowledge your obligatio
  5. Is this normal now? im 31 days into them having my DPA request and nothing...I assume it buys them 2 months

    Riflez Vs HSBC

There is 9 days left until they have broken the Data Protection Act. Is there something i should do at this point? Ive not even had and confirmation of the recipt of my request (but i know they have it)

    Riflez Vs HSBC

Its now been 16 days since my request for statements was sent to HSBC and I have not heard a peep from them, Not even acknowledgment of the letter I sent them. Is that quite normal and the first stall tactic by dragging out the 40 day data protection act request as long as possible?

My recorded letter still has not shown up as signed for? it was a week today it was sent?
  10. Good lukc with your claim, I'm two days ahead of you but recorded delivery. However not showing as signed for. As I understand it they have 14 days from reciept to say they got your letter and 40 days to send statements, Seems to be about 2 weeks before you get your statements then calc up and straight off with your first approach. I'm hoping mine adds up to as much as I am expecting

Thanks to both of you, As this is a closed account a would assume at the end of the process that HSBC's solicitors will settle in the form of a cheque? would you need to keep the claim open until the cheque has cleared? or if it did not the bank would breach the terms of settlement?
  13. Sent DPA request on 09/08/2006 using recorded signed for. With all my ebaying usually this would have turned up Thurs/Fri. Its now Monday and still no signature showing up on track and trace? Panic or normal?
  14. I think ill see what happens in terms of statements, if i get trouble with the cc statements like you have i will pursue each as i get them. After this i have virgin, rbs, barclaycard, egg, capital one, nationwide and all my gf's accounts in my sights
  15. On the subject of current accounts with bad ratings my gf has a default and got a current account with alliance and leicester..within 3 months she now can have overdrafts and a visa debit card. I also have bad credit and had no problems with getting a current account with Nationwide
