  1. Just added it onto my facebook, if rage against the machine can get to christmas no1 using facebook im sure we can get a couple of sigs on the website
  2. I signed up today, nowhere did it state a fee, i have cancelled it now but i think il have to stop my cc and my bank card. They can access your details cos i got my credit score from them. Avatari did you cancel using the link and were you charged?? Edit (they tell you a fee on the t&c's after you sign up)
  3. Signed Ever thought about using Facebook to increase the numbers?????
  4. Ok, i think this might have some relation to my query, if you pay a reduced amount is it ok for the company to keep the remainder as default on your credit report? And never inform you that this is the case??
  5. A quick note.... From a bit of reading around on here i have also realised that 1st credit should not have put any entries onto my credit report due to the origional HFC account being in dispute. My only problem is that i no longer have any letters etc regarding this account as i thought it was all sorted. I will send them the report and tell them that the account was also in dispute and that they should not have put any entries onto my file.
  6. Hi all, I have just had a look at my credit file and found an entry for 1st credit saying i owe them £309 and that i am currently in default. I know this is from my HFC account from which i reclaimed charges and settled the debt (settled 2/2/09). When i called 1st credit they said that it was due to me paying a reduced sum to clear the debt and that this will always stay on my file like this. I argued with them and all they said was to send a copy of the report to a PO Box so their team could look at it. The reduced sum that i paid i thought was minus a £300 charge HFC put on my account when they transferred it to the collection agency. Anyone know where i stand with this one, im trying to build my credit score again and this is sitting top of the pile on my credit score
  7. Hi all, Need some advice, today i realised that i have been on the wrong payscale since March time. I got moved to a different job in the factory i work in and was not told that it should give me a higher rate of pay. Today i seen a workmates payslip (he showed me it) and realised there was an £8.50 per week difference so i went to my line manager who fixed the mistake but when i asked for it to be backdated he said no chance because it was for too long a period. Now my query is that they accept that i should have been paid the money but due to the timescale involved im not going to get it (i have pushed the query up to the general manager ), is there a timescale??? can the statute of limitations be cited i.e. 6 year timescale for money owed. Would like to know the legalities, if any, as if i kick up a fuss with the right information they should give in as they think we are all stupid and will try to fob us off with any excuse. Many Thanks Flop
  8. Thanks aa, i have a letter ready to send and i just would like to put an amount on it so they know i have done my homework on this. My estamate is that i am owed around £1500 for the PPI does anyone know if this is a correct. Or i may just send the letter without an amount and hope for an offer. Anyway, im not going to send it until i get my CC refund cheque just in case (we all know what HFC can be like). thanks for all the help
  9. Just been having a look aroung the forums to see if i can get a calculation sheet, i found one and entered my details as estamates ......it gave me my exact loan total so i think i now know that i paid £1000 PPI on a £3000 loan giving a total of £6073.92 including interest (rate of 9.9% pa or 0.825% per month)to be paid over 36 months at £168.72 per month. I am now unsure how to calculate interest on this as the calculator is giving me totals i am unsure of. Advice would be apreciated
  10. Thanks for that, but i got a lovely letter after a few phonecalls with an offer that is more than DOUBLE what i owe them, they basically re-opened my cc charges reclaim and paid up after 1 phonecall. I find this very amusing as all i wanted 2 years ago was my debt paid off and i would close the case (as i said above), but as they sold my account to a dca i am better off by around £1100 and my debt paid. I am now going to send a letter outlining that i want my PPI refunded from my loan acc, along with trying to get them to remove some entries on my credit file. As i dont have any details and never recieved any regarding the PPI when i sent my SAR i will be demanding these documents to be sent forthwith. I will of course ask them to make me an offer and we shall see what happens
  11. Hi all, ok, i called the litigation department and they were not helpful at all, they actually did not have a clue what was going on and could only say to contact the DCA as they have all my documents. After the call i looked at the old documents that i had from my claim in 2007 and decided to call a lady who was dealing with my case in 2007. The number got me through to her but she no longer deals with cc refund claims and wondered how i got her number, she listened to my query and was very helpful. She said she would re-open my old claim and get one of her staff to re-investigate it. Today i recieved a letter, looked like the usual go away were not interested one, i read through it till at the bottom it offered me DOUBLE what i origionally asked for. The acceptance letter will be in the post tomorrow and i will reply back when i get my cheque. Many thanks for all your help.
  12. Thanks scooby, I never recieved any copies of the legal agreements but i will ask for them when i call tomorrow. I will keep you posted on what they say tomorrow.
  13. A long time since i have been on, but........ just recieved a letter from a DCA about my account nearly 2 years after my last contact with HFC. I called HFC and the lady on the phone told me my accounts were all closed the main one is classed as payoff in Dec 2007 and i was told it was closed. I thought that i had an agreement where my debt was cleared due to money owed from credit card charges and me not pursueing a PPI mis-selling claim ( i just wanted rid of the debt as it was my last one). several calls later and HFC have managed to tell me that the debt has been passed on and cannot tell me why i have had no contact for all this time. They gave me the number for their litigation department which is only open 8-5 mon-fri. I also called the DCA and informed them and told them i will keep them up to date. What should i do now?? I still have my paperwork from my SAR but it does not include any PPI details, i was mis-sold it due to being told i had to take a level of cover from hfc or no loan. Problem is my original loan date is feb 2003 which is now over 6 years old so can i still claim for my PPI? All i really want is my debt cleared which my credit card charges will cover so i will try calling litigation on monday and see what happens from there. Any advice would be helpful Hope someone can give some advice
  14. Hi all, A long time since i have been on, but........ just recieved a letter from a DCA about this account nearly 2 years after my last contact with HFC. After my last post i called HFC and the lady on the phone told me my accounts were all closed the main one is classed as payoff in Dec 2007 and i was told it was closed. I thought that was me all sorted out untill the letter yesterday...... several calls later and HFC have managed to tell me that the debt has been passed on and cannot tell me why i have had no contact for all this time. They gave me the number for their litigation department which is only open 8-5 mon-fri. I also called the DCA and informed them and told them i will keep them up to date. So what should i do? Call up the litigation dept or write to the CEO, executive complaints, litigation Dept etc. All i want is my debt cleared or i claim for my Credit Card charges (£1200) and claim mis-sold PPI (bronze cover on a 5K loan (Told i had to take one of their policies or no loan) which i think cost me £1073.92 plus interest, dont have a clue how much!!!) , my debt is only around £1200 and i really just want it outta the way because it is my last debt and its annoying when you think your debt free only for it to surface again). Problem is my original loan date is feb 2003 which is now over 6 years old so can i still claim for my PPI? Hope someone can give some advice
  15. Ok, im gonna accept their partial offer as i looked at my calculations and they were wrong so they are offering about half. This will do me as i have not had this card for years so it is extra money for doing very little. Thanks all
