  1. Oooh - am very jealous. Please have a jug or two of sangria for me!!!
  2. Oh Mick! What a dilemma. I have no idea what to suggest other than go with the choice you will find it easier to live with. Will you find it easier to know that you had an offer, turned it down and ended up with nothing or with accepting the offer and doing yourself short? I don't know what the CAG are advising - you might find better suggestions on the HSBC forum (not so many people here on the FD forum). Good luck and all the best for whichever path you choose. Lotte x
  3. Offer in full arrived in post this morning (actually £30 over what I asked for!!!). Only got bundle to them on Thursday. Thanks guys. 5% of it is for you to keep this brilliant site going - couldn't have done it without you!
  4. You're not wrong Tiffla - an offer in full arrived on my doorstep this morning!!! Actually they offered me £30 more than I asked for . I am moving house today and this couldn't have come at a better time. Thanks again to all the CAG peeps - I genuinely don't think I could have done this without you. And I promise to make my 5% donation from this and the HSBC one as soon as the cheques have cleared to help this site continue it's fabulous work! Thanks guys Lotte xxx
  5. Just about managed to get my bundle posted off - not before I'd had to dangle my neighbour by his ankles into the clothes recycling bin where I'd managed to post it first!!! What with all the stress of moving I can't help but feel I've probably messed this one up. Oh well, fingers crossed that an offer comes through soon. If it does you should all be able to hear my sigh of relief throughout the land
  6. Perfect - thanks Cookie! I am horribly impatient - hence the new thread !!! Will get this posted off tomorrow and get on with my packing. Fingers crossed it goes as well as HSBC and I get an offer.
  7. Hi guys Have spent 90 mins trying finding them on here but with no luck. Am now in panic mode as moving house in 3 days and need to get bundle sent off tomorrow. :o All pointers in the right direction gratefully received!
  8. Good luck Mick. Just keep going and you'll get that money back. I'm in sniffing distance of mine!
  9. Right HSBC down just first direct to go (oh and that £39 charge Co-op stuck on my account the day HSBC coughed up - oh the irony!!!) It appears though, in the two weeks I've been off this site, that someone has played a cruel trick on me and hidden everything I used last time. I have tried the wiki thing but I can't find the court bundle for dummies or the first direct T&C's and the stickies for them don't seem to be there anymore. Could someone be kind and just point me in the general direction? Thank you!
  10. Yay team! Got an offer in full from HSBC . They even agreed to pay the two charges outside the 6 year limit "exceptionally and on a purely commercial basis". Am going to sign and return. I wont see the money - they pay it straight to their DCA - apart from the court fee. My contribution will be paid to CAG as soon as I get that. Thank you so much to everyone who has helped along the way. I found it really tough but am so glad I didn't give up. One down - just first direct to go now!!! (And now I think I need to contact a moderator - how do I find one of them?!)

  12. Yes, read it, printed it out, have lived by it for 2 days. Cross checked everything against it and a couple of other people's tables of contents. All done bar the shouting I reckon!!!And yes, you have been a tremendous help freaky - if it wasn't for your support think I might have thrown my laptop out the window and run away to join the circus
  13. Hooray! Done. Going to fax a nudge letter, copy the bundle and then send it tomorrow special delivery. So relieved that part is over - going to court can't be any worse than that was! Thanks again freaky for being so patient and helpful.
  14. This is so so hard. Thank you freaky for your support. I am really nearly there - think posting it tomorrow is OK. - think if they receive it by this Thursday that will be 14 days before. Would hate to lose it because of that. Not quite sure about the 'litigation' section. Have printed off the HSBC settlements but the dates get a bit messed up halfway through and not sure exactly what I am trying to prove with those. The BBC Money Programme - do I just print off the page from the BBC's website or is there some other evidence on here? Have taken out the reference to the Australian thing and the Peter McNamara interview as have no evidence of either of those and can't see how Australian banking is relevant to ours. Other than that think bundle is almost intact. Now just have to sit down and number the damn thing and get some of those green stringy tags to hold it together and try to stop from bursting into tears. At this point I have to be brutally honest and say if I had realised how much time this would take me and how much stress it would cause me I'm not convinced that I'd have chosen my path. Just hope after all this aggro and time off work (don't work in an office so no sneaky preparation time there for me!) I win .
