  1. Cool, it just clicked - I first thought it only charged interest on the spreadsheet up until the last PPI withdrawal, but it works it out until today's date. I am ok to send the letter above, rather than using the template one saying it's been missold etc, aren't I?
  2. Ok, thanks Ims One Last question: One of the laons ended in 2007. i have put that in as the last PPI date, and tyhe top saystoday's date for the end of the claim. The interest doesn't change - is that right? I thought you said I should get interest until today's date (I may have got confused!).
  3. Cool, they won't wriggle out of it by saying they've listened to the call will they?
  4. And should i mention in the cover letter that I made an approximate calculation based on the first date of payment?
  5. Ims, I've just remembered one was taken out over the phone- does that change anything?
  6. Thank you Ims. I will write and accompanying letter saying: Dear Sir or Madam, With reference to the above account, please cancel the payment protection insurance with immediate effect. I feel this policy weas not suitbale to my circumstances and was not aware, until now, that it was optional. Please see attached my claim for a full refund ofa ll premiums, including interest. Please include premiums and interest up until the date the policy was cancelled, as these may not have been included in my claim documents attached.
  7. Ok, thanks Ims! As long as you think I've got valid reasons, I will send them tomorrow! EEk - can I just send them to the normal complaints address on thier website?
  8. Great, will it matter that I am saying the things in all the claims?1
  9. I agree, and think that's what I will do....but do you think i should send them all at the same time?
  10. Got a letter saying they were right and if I wanted a breakdown I needed my statements and to fill in the form for a copy of them at £5 a pop (I know I could put in a SAR for £!0 so that doens't bother me). I have all statements anyway, so they do one. Hmmm...got to consider my position here as I think I may not sue them and just keep the money
  11. Bump I'm getting everything ready so it can be sent on Monday - do you you thinK I should all 3 claims together, or deal with one at a time?
  12. Great, thanks Ims - looks like I'm ready now - Eeekk...
  13. I have never really been happy with it, but didn't realiseit was separate to the loan. I didn'trealise I could canel it and keep the loan. I thought it was a feature of the loan and therefore it needed to stayon while the loan was active. I have just found outthat the insurance was optional and I am disappointed that I was not given allof the facts at the time. I was underthe impression that it was a condition of getting the loan and would improve mychances of being accepted.
  14. The insurance was sold to me in branch, via a face to facemeeting, where it was advised I should take the insurance. I was only given the relevant paperwork during the sale andmeeting process, I can't remember specifics but I know I have a copy of theoriginal agreement. I felt like taking the insurance was part of the applicationprocess and if I didn't take it I wouldn't get accepted. It was presented as a single premium so Iassumed it was a feature of the loan. Itwas therefore presented as being a condition of getting the loan. It was insisted that I should take out the poli
  15. Cool...well it was a LBA too, so I will see what they come back with.
  16. How about this: Section E: -The insurance was sold to me in branch, via a face to facemeeting, where it was advised I should take the insurance. -I was only given the relevant paperwork during the sale andmeeting process, I can't remember specifics but I know I have a copy of theoriginal agreement. -I felt like taking the insurance was part of the applicationprocess and if I didn't take it I wouldn't get accepted. It was presented as a single premium so Iassumed it was a feature of the loan. Itwas therefore a condition of getting the loan. -It was insisted that I should take
  17. Thanks Ims. What if they've got some paperwork signed by me, saying that I wanted it and understood the terms and conditions?
  18. I can't remember, they knew what I did as job becasue of the loan application. They didn't ask me about any emplloyer benfits though. I am not sure about pre-existing conditions either,
  19. interesting how I have not had a response for my demand for the interest in restitution. Basically told them if I've been missold something I have the right to it and if it goes to court, they will award it. I also pointed out that I they had sent a letter with y cheque saying that they upholding my complaint, so I find it difficult how they would then deny it in court. I will let you know when I get a letter in resposne to that!
  20. And this for why I am now unhappy with it: I have never really been happy with it, but didn't realiseit was separate to the loan. I didn'trealise I could cancel it and keep the loan. I thought it was a feature of the loan and therefore it needed to stay onwhile the loan was active
  21. Perfect, thank Ims. Ok...I am ready with my questionnaire now. I have put the following points in Section E (they are all true): -The insurance was sold to me in branch, via a face to facemeeting, where it was advised I should take the insurance. -I was only given the relevant paperwork during the sale andmeeting process, I can't remember specifics but I know I have a copy of theoriginal agreement. -I felt like taking the insurancewas part of the application process and if I didn't take it I wouldn't getaccepted. It was presented as a singlepremium so I assumed it was a
  22. Thanks again Ims....does that mean that I am likely to get a lowerp payout, like with CC's, or do loans generally get the claimed payout if 8% is used?
  23. Hiya Will the same thing happen with loans as it doesn with Credit Cards? A reduced payout and then court for interest in restitution?
  24. Lol, good answer Ims, and thanks again. I will see what they come back with and consider my position. Thanks again.
