  2. In January 2011, I took out a CCA with HOF for a furniture purchase. I was just looking through some old paperwork and it appears this was never signed. I remember that I had several calls from the store asking to me pop in a sign the paperwork. Is it possible to reclaim the money I've already paid to Santander (the payments are clear) ? Thanks in advance for any advice J
  3. I took out a credit agreement for 0% finance with House of Fraser and they called me yesterday saying that I need to sign a new agreement as the old one can't be processed. They asked me to go into the store but I told them it's too far just to sign a form - they said they will post the new form to me. Am I obliged to sign the new one? I'm a bit worried about ending up with 2 lots of finance as they haven't returned the old agreement. Thanks James

    CCA Question

Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question - if I send MBNA a CCA request (Credit Card, Loan) there isn't a possibility of them recalling the loan is there? I haven't defaulted on the loan or CC payments but was just wondering if there is a possibility of them asking for their money back? Thanks in advance
  5. In August 2007 we moved house and I transferred the Homecare 300 central heating & plumbing cover to our new house. In January 2008 we decided we didn't want this cover and reduced it to just plumbing and drainage and was told there would be no further charges. I've just looked at my bank statements (march) and there are charges for the full homecare 300 charges. BG say that the new owner has obtained services under my name for our old property in January and also that even though they told me there would be no further charges its my responsibility to cancel the direct debit. What worries me the most is that the new owner has been obtaining services from BG under my name and also the fact that if he decided to have a new boiler installed etc under my name then who would foot the bill. Surely this is illegal? I advised BG that surely they should have better measures in place to protect the consumers identity. They said I should take it up with the new owner. Any advice on what to do would be much appreciated
  6. TBH don't think I'll be using them again!
  7. I hired a car from AVIS on the 21/09/06 and forgot to pay the congestion charge fee. I have yesterday, received the £50 fine notice which was issued on the 25/09/06, together with a letter from AVIS informing me they have debited this from my CC plus £17.63 'admin fee'. I personally think the admin fee is excessive and have called AVIS to tell them so. Does anyone else think this is excessive? I admit I had to pay the Congestion Charge, but am peeved that A- I never had the opportunity to pay the fine myself and B - Avis have charged me nearly £18 for admin. I have spoken to their customer services and they are unwilling to budge on the this. Is this another company profiteering from admin fees? Any advice, comments much appreciated

  10. Hi, Thanks for your replys.. I haven't actually had notification to appear in court I was just told when I phoned the court because I hadn't heard anything that the judge was reviewing the file on the 8th September - so I guess he/she will make a decision then. Good Luck with your claims! Rgrds jimmyn
  11. I have just spoken to the court (Southend) regarding my claim against Barclays and have been told that it has been 'stayed' until Spetember 8th. The judge is reviewing the file then as there are so many claims!! Does this mean Barclays aren't going to pay up or do you think they are just trying to make life more difficult? I'm nervous now in case I have to turn up to court
  12. You can add me to the list too!!
  13. ...I though £5 a set was quite reasonable - all that paper must cost a fortune!!
  14. I called Barclaycall last night and requested back statements from March 2000 for 2 of my Barclays accounts. No problem at all just had to pay £5 for each set of statements!
