It is extremely unlikely that Meritforce will send one of their muppets to your door , if they do treat them like any unwelcome caller tell them to go away ( I would use stronger words ), if they refuse call the police and say you are being threatened for money , they have no right to be there.But I wouldn't worry you have more chance of winning the lottery jacpot two weeks running as you have them sending a collector. Is it possible this is an old debt you have forgotten about?..if so again don't worry if it is over six years old as you say, it is Statute Barred and is unenforceable and cannot be collected. Whatever you do don't phone them and don't give them your phone number . Best of luck and DON'T WORRY they are just a bunch of low-life.

I had dealings with MacKenzie Hall a couple of years ago I sent tham a statute barred letter and they eventually seeemed to get the message and give up. No such luck, Meritforce (MacKenzies puppets) took over shortly afterwards,they eventually realised they had no chance either and the letters stopped arriving. Now Ruthbridge have taken over, I intend to totally ignore them as you should.They will eventually realise they are getting nowhere. It looks like these DCAs pass things round ,hopefully they will go round in circles often enough that they will disappear up their own backsides. Interesting point -- they are not supposed to pass on any debt that is in dispute , but as we know they think they are a law unto themselves.

I have had MacKenzie hall on my back for some time. I hit them with a Statute Barred letter and they eventually seemed to have got fed up .No chance , Their puppets Meritforce took over . I have heard nothing from Meritforce for about 7 months and assumed they had got the message.Then out of the blue a DCA called RUTHBRIDGE sent a letter with my name on it to a relative with the same surname chasing up the old Statute Barred Debt .It looks as if MH have sold/passed this on to Ruthbridge ( I don't think they can do this with a barred debt ) what I can't understand is MacKenzie Hall have my address and phone number (STUPID ME) and it seems they have not passed them on. Oh well here we go again.

I have not heard of them taking court action , as for the threats of a visit you will not get one, they always say this (their puppets Meritforce also threaten this). If you ever get a visit tell them they have one minute to get of your property or you will call the police.You can also use reasonable force to remove them.

Dont worry about not having any business reply envelopes -- I can send you some--I have a draw full of them from muppets Mackenzie Hall and a load from their puppets Meritforce. I am saving them to give to one of their visitors they keep telling me are coming (as if). Pity you paid £54 you have no chance of getting that back..Send off a standard Statute Barred letter.They can't and wont take any further action against you , apart from letter after letter and the ocassional phone call , but remember its costing them to do this just keep ignoring them, the letters and phone calls do start to dwindle. HANG ON IN THERE. ps any one want any envelopes.

Started getting threatening letters from Meritforce...ignoring them as I did when getting them from their masters Mackenzie Hall. Debt is Statute Barred. Had the usual "we are going to visit you" --yeah right. Their latest tactic is to send another letter but this time besides my name and address in the envelope window , the reference number , pursuers and (alleged) amount are clearly visible without opening the envelope. I have a feeling they are breaking codes of practice.Can someone put me straight on this. Thanks in advance.
