  1. Long time no contact. My mum roped in my brother to help me, who has dragged away all my statements and done nothing. He seems to think it is better to wait for the test case to be complete (and maybe save the effort). Personally I think that whatever happens that there is unlikely to be a blanket refund for everyone, maybe even only the people who are progressing a claim Anyone got any ideas? He lives miles from me so I cannot access my statements at all at the minute. Rosa
  2. Have received all the statements and microfische now - I need to check the dates, but at a glance seems complete. Now comes the long task of picking out all the charges ... Will write more as I progress through Rosa
  3. If the claim went in clearly showing as £3000+ then I would write to them and say that you accept it only as payment towards your full claim which will proceed to court. I believe there are some good letters in the correspondance section which you can use to say this properly without causing any problems with your court claim.
  4. You have no idea how pleased I was to read this. CONGRATULATIONS I was beginning to think that they were always leaving it to court day. It gives hope to those of us following in your wake ( I have only just sent the SAR myself ) Rosa
  5. I hope that no news will be good news for you. We will all keep a close eye on your thread to see what Abbey may come up with for those of us further down the line. Rosa
  6. Well I sent off the SAR yesterday - 8th February - first class. I sent the new account acceptance form today. Now to wait and see when they acknowledge (or how close to the 40 days they leave it!) Rosa
  7. Got my form to sign today for Flex Account. No overdraft, debit cards or chequebook will be issued though Anyway it is a start and they may let me have the other stuff later! Just off to hunt for my saved copy of S.A.R - (Subject Access Request) to hit Abbey where it hurts!! Will let you all know when it is sent! Rosa
  8. Not been there yet myself, but many threads are similar. Stick to YOUR timescales - ie court application on 14th February:cool: . This is just a delaying tactic from Abbey. Remember this is not something new to them that requires an investigation as a strange and unusual circumstance! We are all cheering you on. Rosa
  9. If it was me I would ring them, but not sure what the correct response is. Maybe even write/email them saying that you will still be seeing them in court as you have not yet received your settlement? Hopefully someone who has had this problem can let you know
  10. It all starts today - applied online for my new Nationwide Flex account. Application shows up on experian, so they know I am there... Waiting until I have all my new account info in my hands and then time to send the SAR to Abbey. Should be over 5K when I get all the details - well ok, it's already over 5K and I have about 2 years missing! Found kind parent to lend me the overdraft if Abbey decide to bail on me (strictly until such point as I have one elsewhere or when I have my charges back) NO LOOKING BACK NOW..... :o
  11. Well done Sending SAR to Abbey soon, so I hope to follow in your footsteps. (Applied for my brand new NOT-Abbey account today, so only a matter of time...)
  12. No harm in ringing them, you may be lucky and get some or all of the charge reversed. You can still claim the six years as well, take a good look at all the threads on the site and get familiar with the process and then if you want to go ahead add this £50 too (unless you get a refund of course!) 13. Hi, Hope all goes well. Just subscribing (I amy want Anney's fantastic letter later ) We're all rooting for you. RosaChaz
  14. I got a free one online from creditexpert - part of Experian - if I did a subscription (from next month) which I fully intend to cancel now I have my credit details - just checking if it changes this month before I send the cancel!
