Hi We have a secured loan with Blackhorse took out in March last year. The PPI payments are almost £80 a month. My husband was told he needed to take out this or not get the loan. He has two pre-existing illnesses and would not be able to claim and i have insurance via my workplace. Can we cancel after this time and would we have to prove they pressured us into taking out this insurance? Also a bit confused about them making people take out a laon with a higher rate etc. :? £80 a month saving would be very helpful at the moment!!

just worried that if i cash the chq the could say i settled with them

i sent off the first letter requesting my money back. £1140. The wrote back saying they would give me £520. I wrote back saying i would accept the 520 a part payment but would be going ahead with action to reclaim the rest. Not sure if they had my reply when they replied to me but they have sent me a chq for 520. They have until 21/2 until i file at court. My question is should i cash the cheque before of not. could do with the money!!
