  3. Hi Guys Nationwide don't seem to do anything until after you issue court proceedings against them, even then thye take it right up to the wire on time. Just follow the procedure and all should be fine. I don't have any experience of using the FO although i've seen a few threads saying they can help. HTH Andy http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/nationwide-successes/84039-xjrandy-nationwide.html#post908538
  4. Hi Joe - it's easier if you just keep to one thread - won't be so confusing, ask an admin to merge them for you.
  5. Hi Joe All is explained here, i hope the link works - 1st time i've posted a link! http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/faqs-please-read-these/31460-example-step-step-instructions.html Shout up if you have any further questions.. ATB Andy
  6. Hi Max Apologies for the delay in responding - my partner gave birth to our daughter on 2 June and the last 10 days have been a bit of a blur -i'm assuming you've got your answers elsewhere by now but please pm me if you still need anything. Andy
  7. Hey Sammy Not nearly enough, we've got a baby being born this weekend and my other half seems to think that's a priority for some reason - women! Might get some renthals and some brake lines though :-|
  8. Ihave to admit i was panicking too, thought of going to court wasn't fun. I hadn't done any preparation when they paid out, i was going to do it the next week when the 28 days was up. Because of the delays involved in a case actually going to court you'll have some time after the end of the 28 days to prepare. There's plenty of people on here with some legal expereince and specifically of these type of cases to help if it goes that far. However, as far as i know NW haven't gone to court yet.
  9. Hi Neil When you say you've been turned down twice do you mean you got 2 std fob off letters? If so then thats just standard operating procedure for NW. They did exactly the same to me. Including the intent to defend etc. Towards the end of the 28 days period they'll enter a defence stating that they've refunded you the amount claimed, keep checking your bank account from around 21 days into the 28 to see if there's a surprise waiting for you. Just keep following the process and all should be good. If you have any other questions start a thread in the forum and folks will chip in and help like they did for me. ATB Andy
  10. No need to do anything yet - you'll get a letter from the court stating that NW's defence is that they have paid in full - there's a box to tick to say you're happy and don't want to take things any further. Do that and send it back to the court and it's all done.. Well done! Andy
  11. prelim letter on 10th march to payout on 17 may in my case..
  12. The paperwork takes a few days to come thru the post so don't worry about that, the court charges were included automatically in my case, i didn't need to do anything seperately. Good luck Andy
  13. Hehehe me too! MCOL told me that the deadline was midnight on 21/5 and i figured they'd be the one's to know - i tried working it out and failed miserably.. not 28 straight days and not 28 working days either.... in the end, who cares, the buggers paid up! I hope they do for you too Andy
  14. They acknowledged my claim on 18 april and the money arrived on 17 may about 5 days ahead of the 28 day deadline. The first i knew about it was that they entered a defence on MCOL - the defence was that they had paid up Please note though - you HAVE to be prepared to go to court if necessary, Nationwide seem to be paying up before the court date but it's not an absolute guarantee.
  15. Hey Max and Geoff Just follow the procedures from the site and it should all be fine - just check and double check everything before sending stuff off or during the MCOL process, i screwed up on my spreadsheet (see post above) but got away with it! There's been a few posts about using the FO instead - put a post up and ask the question, everybody's really helpful around here. Start deciding what you're gonna spend the dosh on, unfortunately my otherhalf has spent mine for me!!:-? :-? All the best Andy
