  1. well done Tills, thought you might appreciate the pink one LOL
  2. Hi ABG, just popped in to update myself on how you going. You seem to be on top of things, and with OFT on your case now they will soon be kicking shabby into some action, but they will still drag feet. Stone xoxox
  3. Consider the £120 as an investment, if you can afford it. You will get it back when you win
  4. Hi and welcome Redhen, You will find a template S.A.R here Good luck and keep us posted, Stone
  5. They are like buses and policemen Tills, never around when you want one :D
  6. Hi frankie, and welcome, best advice is to start your own thread in the relevant forum and take it from there. read up the faqs and as amny similar threads to yours, any questions just ask they tend to be a helpful bunch here and good luck, stone
  7. Well at least you tried Penfold. good practice for your hearing, eventualy LOL. I had more or less same result with good advice from dj after hearing
  8. But it is not lost revenue, it is EXTRA revenue. 17.5% vat of 120p is more than 17.5%vat of the 86p that they were getting a year ago. they must have made billions in the extra revenue, and they will have the gall to tell us that out of the kindness of their hearts, they will not add the 2p extra duty due in October. The government gets in the region of 80p of every pound spent on fuel.:-x:-x
  9. Hi peeps thought it about time I showed my face in here again. should be safe by now
  10. "If the item has been sent to the correct address but you don’t recognise the name, they may be a former occupant at your address. Royal Mail is legally obliged to deliver mail as addressed irrespective of the name on it. Mark the item ‘Not known at this address’ and pop it back in the Postbox. If the mail with a different address has been mistakenly put through your letterbox, we have clearly misdelivered the item and apologise. Please mark the item as ‘Misdelivered' and where it was misdelivered to and re-post. No further postage/payment is needed for misdelivered items." This is the best advice I could find on the Royal Mail website, I also believe that it may be a criminal offence to open mail that is not addressed to you personaly even if it is your address. It may have belonged to a previous occupant. Like Foolishgirl, I would also recommend that you try to come to some agreement with your neighbour. remember we all mak typos LOL Stone :D
  11. I have looked in on your other thread and left comments there SSE
  12. OMG is it get stone day or something !! I get enough of that on the Halifax forum, I just came here for some peace and quiet LOL
  13. Hi SSE I have just been catching up with this thread and again I see you are getting good advice all round. DO contact your MP, they do help out, if the worst does come to the worst and it does get to court stage, the courts are generaly on your side if you prove that you are making a genuine attept to clear the arrears. You should supply them with an income/expenditure sheet to show where your money comes from and goes to. you can get a good one from your local CAB or online here http://www.adviceguide.org.uk/d_rent_arrears.pdf And if at any time you feel the need to kick or shout at someone, well you know where to find me :D
  14. Have you tried explaining the position to the housing people, pay a small amount extra each week to reduce arrears. Is it council or housing assn. or private landlord? all these can make a difference. are they just threatening possesion, or has a hearing date been set. If you can give me more information about this I may be able to help out, or find someone who can. keep smiling Stone;)
  15. I see you are back on top of it again Tills, in spite of all the conflicting advice. Everybody is trying to help in their own way. I can offer only 2 pieces of advice, both were given to me whilst I was studying on a management course. One from a uni professor " Any decision you make is the correct one at the time. If things don`t work out as expected, then make another decision to change things"" . The other from an American Management guru " It gets worse". I have found these to be the best advice that I have ever been given. So take your time girl, and do whatever you think is best for YOU. :D
  16. the ependiture form may be shabby playing for time or gathering evidence for their defence
  17. This is entirely up to you SSE, you can file or send them another letter giving them a further 7 days to respond. It is probably the best course as your claim will no doubt be stayed along with everybody else`s. this will probably go well for you at any hearing, showing you as being very reasonable and giving the bank every opportunity to negotiate
  18. Acas - Advice leaflet - Holidays and holiday pay You have already been given good advice from sidewinder and dave, but this may help you to understand the position better, Stone
  19. I am not sure how you stand in this situation, as it depends on your conditions in your contract of employment. I know that some agencies are realy bad and will take all they can get. Acas - Advice leaflet - Holidays and holiday pay follow this link as it may help you, if not give ACAS a call, I have always found them very helpfull, sometimes just the mention of ACAS will make the agency move, but beware as the have ways of getting their own back. no work, odd shifts etc. Good luck Stone
