  1. I’m sure there is something to be done for you. In the first instance can you please post up the particulars of claim, exactly as they appear on the court document, suitably disidentified.
  2. Says September here... In my letter of complaint because I did not find out I was revoked untill my insurance company told me months after in mid January I found out they had sent to the wrong address, I noted how serious it could of been as my license was revoked September 2017 if I was involved in a accident that caused death *SAY* in late September I could of been serving a manslaughter prison sentence with no evidence to why I was driving on a revoked license I would not of been able to say in court *DVLA* sent it to a unknown address because I only found out by an attachement letter in the statements of DVLA sent to me mid january is all i can say people is rely on your insurance company not DVLA
  3. Nope. Your licence was taken off you in Sept 17. Twelve months on is August 18...
  4. Of course we can help. Why has the charge been incorrectly issued? What, or who is at fault?
  5. Yes. Ignore and await the next desperate for money begging letter....
  6. The experts will be along soon enough... Are you registered for MCOL? You will no doubt want to defend this so let the learned folk here guide you...
  7. I suspected that’s what you meant. You really must start reading carefully what you’re being asked to do, and also what you’re being told not to do! This is what people need you to do in order to help... Forget about writing to the DCA, do not contact them at all. Get onto the court and request a copy of the original claim against you. You also want a copy of the judgement. Ask them to send you it via email in pdf format. Once you have that then it can be inspected and the folks here can help you draft your request for a set aside and also your defence. You will also need to go the place where the ticket was issued and collect images of the signs, the street lighting, the layout of the car park and the entrances... but this is not a priority right now. So, one thing at a time - your immediate and only priority is to get the claim and judgement. Don’t do anything else.
  8. The deposit should be noted separately to the advance amount. Of course there could be huge arrangement fees and other such cheeky charges in the loan amount.... have a good look at it...
  9. AFIA, Boomers do indeed carry an MO as part of the crew. If any other boat has an MO on board he would generally be there as a ride-along... Subs do indeed normally only carry one medic, albeit one who has undergone extra training to allow him to perform additional tasks whilst at sea... Any such crew member MO must be submarine qualified. Your friend was either a ride-along Doctor on a posting or he submarine qualified and was embedded on something beginning with V.
  10. Pay attention to what you are being told and act upon the advice, please!
  11. Why not ask your LA? They’ll be able to tell you exactly what you can and can’t do and then you’ll have concrete info from the horse’s mouth...
  12. You may well get more letters from them. The only one you need act upon is an actual court claim. Feel free to post up any further letters for advice BEFORE you act upon them! But you’re right to feel calmer!
  13. From the web... Turning your home into a bed and breakfast is both simple and complex. On the one hand a small B&B won’t need the same sort of infrastructure a large hotel would but on the other you can’t simply open your doors to the paying public without making some changes. From the legal requirements for starting a bed and breakfast to the things you don’t need to cover but really should, here is a short list of some of the changes you will need to make if you are setting up a bed and breakfast in your home. Kitchen hygiene An outbreak of food poisoning could be an end to your B&B dream, so hygiene in the kitchen is a priority. The Food Standards Agency will class your B&B as a fully-fledged ‘food business’ too. Your local Environmental Health office should be your first port of call but the basic equipment you’ll need will include colour-coded chopping boards, a food hygiene diary and a qualification in food hygiene. The latter can be done simply and cheaply online, so don’t get too hung up on the need to study and sit an exam! You’ll be inspected and given a star rating that must be displayed in your front window. Fire regulations Fire regulations are mostly a matter of commonsense but a few of them still caught us out. As an example, we had to reinforce the bedroom doors to form a more resilient barrier and to help slow the spread of fire: your local fire officer will be able to help identify what needs doing in your home. We also had to add locks that could be opened from the inside without having to use a key and a plan that shows our visitors what to do if they smell smoke, see a fire, or hear the fire alarm. You’ll also need to do a fire risk assessment to work out what sort of fire extinguishers you’ll need and where you’ll need to put them. The same goes for the number and location of smoke and fire alarms and fire blankets. Someone from your local fire brigade will then inspect your house and certify you for a period of time. We get inspected every two years and while I’m not saying it’s a pleasure, it is never as grim as we think it will be. Emergency lighting If, God forbid, you do have a fire then you might lose your electricity and hence your lighting. We found some clever torches that you leave plugged into the mains to keep them charged and if the power is lost they light up. You might find another solution but you will need something. You’ll also probably need some way of showing them where the fire exits are. Again, your fire officer will be able to help you plan an escape route.

  15. Ok. It might be worth waiting for the real knowledgable folk but seeing as they claim to have purchased the debt you could try a CCA request on them.... see if they have the original agreement.... Wait and see what other folk say...
  16. Does it look like it could be an account of yours? Do the numbers at the top mean anything to you? Have you received anything in the post?
  17. Did they not include a copy of the original credit agreement?
  18. An email? Can you post it up? Cut and paste? Remove any personal information....
  19. It’s not 12, it’s 1 2 and it’s not 43. It’s 4 3.
