Parliament's standards watchdog reportedly believes Boris Johnson's holiday to Mustique was worth more than double the £15,000 he declared in the Commons register. https://www.lbc.co.uk/news/boris-johnsons-mustique-holiday-was-worth-double-the-15-000-declared/ Johnson is trying to get this overturned, of course. Edit: Even the Mail are reporting this. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9580509/Inquiry-Boris-Johnsons-Mustique-holiday-says-failed-say-financed.html2 points

Click on this link https://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/topic/391121-have-you-received-a-parking-ticket/ You will see a list of questions to answer if you originally got a windscreen ticket. And a different one if it were ANPR cameras that clocked your plate. Whichever one it was, please copy and paste the questions and answer as best you can. Any info., even if paltry, will help us build up a case to fight the fleecers.1 point

so why after being here for over 10yrs and having felt the wrath of Courts and bailiffs before are you still ripping things up and not asking for help earlier to avoid situations escalating by taking what you think might be the correct actions yourself? DX1 point

The antagonistic approach is being used big time by the Cons, we saw a lot of that during the Trump administration. It's known as hegemonic practices. Unfortunately it does have it's power for a bit until enough people see through it because it repeats itself. The bots used for this during the last general election were prevalent in this. It's a powerful tool with social media but it's now being flushed out more and people looking for the truth. Not cover ups. You see the antagonistic denigrate the person and twist the argument, all done in a specific order. There must be a school of learning for it You see the same words b1 point

Jonathan Freedland in the Guardian has assembled a compendium of the PM's missteps in office and prior to that. There are so many i'd forgotten a couple of them. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2021/apr/30/scandal-charge-sheet-johnson-wallpaper-lying#comment-1489692551 point

Well you are not bound by any of this. It is all subject to the distance selling rules. This is an off-premises contract and apart from having 14 days cooling off with no penalties at all, the cooling off period would only begin when they have satisfied all the regulations concerning information that they have to give you including cooling off details and cancellation details. https://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2013/3134/regulation/6/made Have they actually sent you a message chasing you for the money? Have you told them that you are not going ahead with it? What is the name of the person came to visit you at your home?1 point

I had received a letter for my first vaccine a few months ago but there had been a problem with the postage and it was too short notice for me to get time off from work. I telephoned NHS and they said I would get another letter with a new time and date as it was not possible to do it online. Think I waited about 6 weeks with no letter so phoned them again, they said there was a problem and would phone me back which they did a few hours later and gave me a new appointment at the drive through, it was only 10 minutes from my house, they did not tell me it was the Pfiser until after they gave me it.1 point

No, you are not forced to request judgement. You can simply let it go, let them off the hook, forfeit your money, forfeit the cost you have paid, and go to the pub. On the other hand, you could request judgement and then when you had the judgement you could instruct County Court bailiffs to go round the and enforce the judgement. Of course they may then suddenly wake up and apply for set-aside that they would be stupid if they did, but it would be fun.1 point
