I have been on the receiving end of a constant stream of letters, threats and bullying from a company called Mortimer Clarke Solicitors Ltd for over 5 years for a debt I do not recognise so last week I decided to contact the Solicitors Regulation Authority. They have been very helpful and are investigating. They are not interested in financial disputes at all but do seem very interested in hearing complaints about the tactics used by this company.   2. Did you use electricity/gas in the 3 weeks before you switched to EDF? Who is supposed to pay for that ?

  3. Thanks BankFodder. I sent the letter signed for on Friday, but it's not been received/signed for yet. So presumably the 10 days is from when they receive it? Just to be clear, you're saying I should still start s75 now anyway (and not wait 10 days), correct?

  4. Thanks guys - really helpful and useful info. I'll take a look at the customer services guide and start a s75 process. I never call on the phone and always email or write, but yes I know if I do call then I need to record it I'm pretty certain it's a credit card, but that's a good heads-up so will check that too. I guess I'll see when I look into the s75 process with Amex, but I ordered more than just the one item so it would be for only a part of the transaction (the other was returned and refunded), I assume this shouldn't pose any additional problem?   5. Just for info Family member had oxford A/Z jab and had 40 degree temperature for 24 hours or so the day after Seems to be OK now and lateral flow showed negative for what thats worth

  6. there is a minimum 10 min grace period in all private carparks UK wide. you don't need to do anything no. if par chance you ever do get a letter of claim then pop back here. i mean we could have a laugh with them....but as the whole process to date has been purely automatic .......
