  1. Hi All, I have briefly read some of the posts above. There is established case law on `heat of the moment`resignations. Please google : Ali v Birmingham City Council EAT /1313/08 Good luck
  2. Just received an e-mail that looked legit (well, apart from the html coding that was all over the place but that can happen to any e-mail) saying that payment to Skype for a 3 mth subscription via Paypal had been made for £39 etc. It also said if you hadn't authorised the payment to open a dispute with Paypal here (click link)... Because I wasn't born yesterday, I actually went to my PP account *not* clicking on that link but separately, and lo and behold, there is no payment made to Skype at all. So I went back to the e-mail and scrutinised it, and then realised they'd done it
  3. if they are within the last 3 yrs i'd hit them with a bcobs complaint. dx
  4. Hello there. It might be worth starting a new post on the employment forum here with your job queries. I'm not an expert, but there's a chance, I can't tell you how good, that you might be able to claim something. Please don't ask for benefits advice on the employment forum. It will just cause confusion for all concerned. My best, HB
  5. Firstly the way in which you were spoken to and treated is unacceptable, ther are standards which all DWP are expected to behave within. The call you have made was that to the initial 0845 processing number? If yes it was a contact centre operative that you spoke to and they have no input in processing, or did you receive a call back from the processing office directly? The form yuo should have completed was JSA5 and on that form you have an opportunity to explain your reason for the delay in claiming and to list all job seeking activity carried out during the requested period.
