Dear Sir or Madam, I refer to your e-mail received on xxxxx regarding setting up a payment plan the contence of which is utter nonsense, as you are well aware you are not entitled to any such information which can only be produced by order of a judge. I have stated clearly what I can afford to pay and that is my final offer. Please forward to me your banking details so I can setup a standing order to pay the amount offered. I am unable to make payments by debit card or direct debit due to the probable risk that these methods of payment may be abused.

  7. He needs to go to the bank and get it disputed. Then if the bank or money shop refuses to refund it, go to the local police and report it as theft. Get a crime number and the bank will be forced to refund the money. Since it is money that the government gave you, it should be relatively straight forward to get it back.

  10. Hi Makka I decided to give MBNA time to reply b4 starting a claim - just to avoid the time and money really. Ive submitted my claim this week after they refused to pay my charges back further than 6 years. They agreed to pay from 2005 onwards after I sent a letter that someone advised me to do from here. I thinks its still on my thread if you need it at any time. the main thing is dont give up, especially as they offered a puny amount at first, then because of sending that letter from this forum, they offered a lot more. Although it still isnt enough, it just goes to show hoe wonderful this site if for its advice and guidance through the

  11. On the AQ there is a box to tick to go for mediation, telephone appointments are not stressful. The mediator will phone you and explain what will happen, the they phone the claimant who then put their side of the story, which the mediator the relates to you, you the have your say and so on reach an agreement a consent order is made and sealed by the court a Tomlin order is then made stating how the debt is to be paid and over how long. Although they are not selling any as AOL branded, TalkTalk do a fibre optic broadband service which is up to 40 meg broadband. Maybe they could sort you an upgrade for your troubles? See if the CEO's office can offer any assistance to you.
