  1. Dear sir/madam, I believe I have been mis-sold a PPI policy and would like to request a full refund of my premiums plus interest paid. I took out a credit card via post with capital one in may 2004. I ticked the NO box for PPI but this was still added to my account without my knowledge or understanding. This cost me an extra £883.73 over the life of the loan. the total ammount of my premiums plus interest is £3307.48 When I took out the credit card I ticked the box to say NO to a PPI policy. Your data shown in a screen dump also says NO to PPI. Despite this PPI was added to th

  2. Hi So yo have their final decision regarding the ppi claim so now its for you to issue against them. What I would do is write to them saying that they have now mentioned a date of a call but that there was no mention of this in your SAR docs. As this is included in under the umbrella of "personal data", you have duly noted that their SAR response was incompete and therefoe you feel they have breached the DPA and that you will be bringing this to the court's attention. I know you have done this cout thing before but with Cap1 you should prepare, prepare and prepare again. Re

  4. Possible but may be a waste of £45 so close to the hearing, I would check with the court if they disclosed to them and payed that fee and inform the Court that they have not sent the documents to the OP.Just to get it on record before the hearing The defendant would have little to disclose except a WS but this is SCT so its not been requested. 6. Hi, They have calculated the interest at the rate of 1.385% per month simple interest not compound. At the card rate APR of 17.9%, £20 paid on 5/11/02 has accrued compound interest as of today amounting to £64.99. Your figures appear to be correct to me while theirs are incorrect I feel. 7. I have read on the forums that some banks are paying up with out question. Barclaycard had a no quibble refund policy .. We reported on this in the June Newsletter, linked below. http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/content.php?767-CAG-Newsletter-June-2011-issue

  8. Hi Pru You mentioned earlier that you had received a reply to your SAR. What did they actually provide? Lately, lloyds seem to putting up this screen that they don't have data over six years old "due to time". Now, its up to you of course but I would challenge them on this. I would write to them and say that they are in breach o the DPA and if you do not receive ALL of the information you have requested you will be reporting them and their data controller to the ICO. In addition I would tell them that you you will also consider court action to force compliance and in that

  9. Hi Shanks Difficult subject and not very clear but I believe that the following link may clarify the issue http://www.dwp.gov.uk/publications/specialist-guides/technical-guidance/ni17a-a-guide-to-maternity/statutory-maternity-pay-smp/working-in-your-maternity-pay/ The third paragraph states "If you do any work in a self-employed capacity during your MPP, then such work will not affect your SMP" Good News for your friend! Hope that helps L x
