  2. Don't be disheartened by the fact that they have rejected your offers. Personally I would not worry too much at the moment that the debts are increasing (I know that's easier said than done). I'd invest £6 and send a CCA request to all of the catalogue debts - make sure you pay by postal order and just sign it digitally. Who is the bank ? It would be helpful if you could tell us more about your debts - the more we know, the better we can advise. How old are they? How big are each of the debts? What has caused them -eg- have you had a change of circumstances or is it a case of simply overstretching yourself? Tell us everyt

  4. Hi borolad Sorry to see you've had no response to date, I know a little about this from mortgage trade press etc. According to statements made in their latest accounts, Swift (Swift 1st Limited and Swift Advances plc) are subject to investigations by both the FSA and OFT. Details were reported in the mortgage trade press, you can read more here:- http://www.mortgagestrategy.co.uk/distribution/swift-investigated-by-fsa-over-arrears-handling/1023883.article Nothing is concluded, contrary to what some may be believe, the FSA have not fined Swift or announced any finding against them at all. If you pay attention to the detail of what is

  5. You have the AQ stage to go, and you can defend against summary judgment. Keep us informed. Have you called Barclaycard to find out when the last payment was made? There’s a full defence anyway, as there would be an assignment beween the HFO companies that was possibly illegal.

  6. They have to prove that you made those alleged payments that prevent it being SB'd, it is not for you to prove that you did not, so put them to strict proof. I've seen several threads lately where they have done exactly the same thing to other Caggers. It's just a thought that printing out any such threads might make interesting reading to a court. It seems to me that this is way beyond their usual excuse of "administrative error".

  7. If they can't produce any acceptable agreement it's totally in you favour, but they may try to submit a reconstituted (fake) agreement that they will claim is a copy of what you may have signed, some judges will allow this if supported by statement showing payments to the account I personallywould not agree that.

  8. Hi godders Appreciate you're trying to give as much info as possible but unfortunately we still need some more info. As we don't know the length of these loans we cannot, at this time, work out sensible figures. What I would do is write back to the bank informing them that they have provided an incomplete SAR in that you are not satisfied that agreements have been lost and that they are, in yur view, in breach of the Data Protection Act. At the very least you require them to provide you the following details for each loan. 1 Initial Advance 2 ppi loan amount 3 APR 4 term of loan 5 total amount payable 6 charge for cre

  9. We need to know on what date your employment started (month and year) to calculate what the minimum redundancy payment should be. Basically you should receive one week's pay for every completed year of service up until the age of 41 and one and a half week's pay for every completed year of service since you were 41, so you could either be looking at (by my very rough calculations) £1043 or £1341 statutory redundancy depending on the start date of your employment. Any notice would be on top of that, and it sounds as though you are required to work until 8th July and will be paid until the end of July, so 3 weeks after your last day a
