Hey there,

I've JUST gotten off the phone to customer services (0800 280 690) and i requested a "summary of all charges since i opened the card" and she went away, spoke to a manager and said "we can't do a summary, but i can send you out ALL statements since the account was opened if you like"

(i'm waiting for the "for the fee of".... but it didin';t come)

So i'm having the statements in the 2weeks, got her name & name of her manager just incase they have decided to mess me about

Just incase others see this

Got reply to my DPA request, they want £10. No problem.

They also say the must have positive ID to process it, either a photocopy of passport or driving licence - is this a requirement of the act, if it isn't i'll write back with the cheque telling them to stick the ID

Phone them this time, and request them for free as i've just had mine done for free!! (although it is a platinum card, duno if that would make a difference), i've had to wait a little extra too as they've had to be fished from microfilm... so they can't use that old chestnut on you :thumb:

Preliminary letter sent, standard complaints letter back

Letter Before Action sent, recieved a response offering £120 from a £235 claim. Phoned them saying I want the difference otherwise making a claim.

They said no problem, we will refund it all but you should understand we are doing it because we value your custom and not because we feel we are liable in any way. :)

He then went on to say that they are reducing the charges to £12 because the OFT has said this is fair. :o

He said these are the terms of the agreement, I would be expected to honour that agreement and if not they would have to consider withdrawing the credit card.
