Hi Everyone

 

I havent posted my issue with British Gas here but just a quick summary

 

vacated a property, phoned gave final meter reading

recieved final bill-apparently my meter was read about 3 days before we moved (without my knowledge) and to the tune of about 15000!!!!!! KW over the amount incorrectly. (turns out after investigating myself they read my neighbors meter and put her reading on my form) MORONS.

So my final bill, for 2 people living in a 2 bed terrace for 3 months was approx. £2300. HA!

so phoned about a million times, complained to energywatch, got cut off about 25 times by the call centre, passed around, was sent threatening legal action letters, was assured about 25 times it would be sorted.

final reading was given on 1 Sept 06, finally recieved final bill 25 Jan 2007.

ONLY after writing a VERY ****y letter to Sam Laidlaw, CEO of Centrica.

I will add that I recieved NO compensation, only a correct final bill.
