    Default the SAR letter...a question

I noticed a 40 day reply option on the sample letter. Is this the norm or should it be shorter length of time?

Default Re: the SAR letter...a question

When you send a Data Protection Act SARs letter (Enclose 10 fee) they then have 40 days in which to comply with your request. If they don't comply withing 40 days then you report the non-compliance to the Data Commissioners Office.

    The 40 days is standard.
