Hi, I have a Homebase Store card at 0% to buy and pay off Kitchen, was 0% for 2 years so good idea at the time, anyway only £40 left to pay, but I have just got my statement and they have added on £17.50 for a late payment.

I phoned the helpline and explained it was 8 days late as 1yr old son was in hospital so didn't get round to paying it. The customer service person said as I had received 3 late payment charges over the 2yrs this would not allow her to refund any charges.

So I popped a letter in the post this afternoon asking for all 3 charges to be refunded or I will take further action.

Have I done the right thing?
