over the past 4 years i have been stung on numerous occasions with £28-30 charges for overdraghts of beetween 28p-£4.60, does this entitle me to persue the banks for refund ? if so what is the best course of action?

yeah sorry about that i realised that a bit later, i'm just going through the in's an out's of it....this is my only bank account at the moment ,would you advise i open another one with a different bank in case it goes sour and they close my account ?(my claim would be less than £1200.00).

thanks.

Have they already done it?

You should simply trawl around to each bank - even if it means opening a building society savings account. At least you have your foot in the door.

Someone referred to the Coop as a good bet for opening a new account
