Hi, Newbie here,

I have an account with Lowell which I have been paying and the account has been placed on my credit file with me making regular payments to it.

It's a J D Williams account that Lowell had bought.

My issue is whilst they are recording the fact the balance is going down each month the payment history is showing 6 payments late all the time.

Should it actually be on my credit file at all and if it is then how do I get them to show that I am paying said debt off and get them to amend the payment history.

Thanks for any wisdom.

retitled for clarity and moved to the CAT forum.

if there is a defaulted date in the summary it matters not what the calendar markers say.

the account will vanish on the defaults 6th birthday

paid or not..paying or not.

when did you take the account out

and have you ever sent any DCA you are blindly paying on a debt a CCA request

to ensure they hold the legally enforceable paperwork to even fleece you on it?

a DCA is not a bailiff and has zero legal powers.

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

so no defaulted date

try another CRA provider noddle.clearscore.equifax.experian

what date did you get the notice of assignment from lowells/JDW that the debt was sold on?

or have you moved since taking this out and never updated anyone [as you should] and everything has gone to an old address?

look in closed accounts

there should be a defaulted date typically as I bet you got a notice of default from JDW?

id be sending JDW an sar

and lowells a CCA request.

but as it goes, even for a mortgage application say..its not showing defaulted or anything

as only you can see the calendar markers not anyone else

its not harming you.
