Give the council a ring to verify it.

the CRA's get their info from councils and never bother to question its veracity. You will often find that the data is a year out so if you move there wont be an update for near to 2 years depending upon when they sell on the records.

The council wont be bothered to spend time correcting their errors as they dont lose out for being wrong so good luck but start off with low expectations

but i'm going to go back to my original question which is...

On Equifax in green it says i have been on the electoral roll for 13 years and it is green, but then next to it in red it says currently registered on the electoral roll no.

What does that mean?

Bare in mind i have been registered at my mums address for most of my life, i havent told anyone i have moved since i moved so i should still be down to vote there

I suspect the reason may be that since you moved out of your mother's house she has had to fill in the annual questionnaire asking who lives there and, as you don't now live there, didn't include you. And as you haven't registered where you live now you aren't on any electoral register.

Easy to fix. Contact the council for where you now live and register!

Incidentally, it was suggested earlier that registering for the electoral register registers you for council tax. Your obligation to pay council tax exists irrespective of whether you are on the electoral register. You can't avoid paying C/tax by staying off the electoral register. (I know that wasn't your question ...)
