Hi,

I have a vehicle parked on my drive. I cannot drive it as I have been disqualified from driving for 18 months. I still would like to keep the car insured in case of theft, fire or damage. Is there anyway I can get insurance?

Note that I've looked at laid up insurance policies but they seem to require a valid licence.

Any help appreciated.

You shouldnt need a licence really unless you want to pile on no claims. Youd just be the registered keeper.

The issue is that its assumed that someoen will be driving the vehicle when you insure it . They usually check various databases to come up with an insurance quote as well. Risk factors and all that.

Any advice i give is my own and is based solely on personal experience. If in any doubt about a situation , please contact a certified legal representative or debt counsellor..

If my advice helps you, click the star icon at the bottom of my post and feel free to say thanks

:D
