I am trying to help someone who nobody really wants to help.

There was a case of criminal damage Where this person involved was arrested for criminal damage to a house.

On his barristers advice he admitted the damage and was sentenced.

It now turns out that the complainant misled the police and also the star witness's known personally by the complainant has also pulled a fast one by misleading the police.

How can this be brought to the polices attention as the person prosecuted is sure damage was caused on purpose and blamed on them.

How do they go about notifying the police about this ?

Spelling and punctuation mistakes have been caused by Auto correct on my my mobile.

So whats cooking today ?

So they admitted It even though they never did it?

Any advice i give is my own and is based solely on personal experience. If in any doubt about a situation , please contact a certified legal representative or debt counsellor..

If my advice helps you, click the star icon at the bottom of my post and feel free to say thanks

You have admitted to the offence, now nobody would be interested in reopening a closed case, especially if the "new evidence " are not striking.

You need a solicitor to take this case, but it will cost and the key question will inevitably be: "Why did you plead guilty if you were innocent?"

It's not relevant to your case though. The article is about the police having evidence but failing to disclose it in court.

Your issue is that the police did disclose the evidence given by the complainant and the witness but the evidence both of them had given to the police was false.

If there is any possibility of overturning the conviction you will need specialist legal advice.

This government site suggests that if you pleaded guilty in court you cannot appeal against conviction (only against the sentence).

This directly points to exactly that. Witholding evidence from the defence and not investigating either .

You are clutching at straws. Nothing you have posted suggests the police have not disclosed evidence that they held. Your claim is that the evidence the police held was false. Not because of anything the police did, but because the complainant and witness deliberately lied in their statements to the police.

Well after starting this thread and giving it a good once over (paperwork). It has now come to our attention that other things are a miss as well. Which this report highlights. I would really not take the website as being rock hard proof. As it does not cover every scenario.

Of course any website or forum is not "rock hard proof".

For a start we haven't got all the evidence, so much of our advice is based on assumptions.

Secondly, you never know who is typing at the other end of the keyboard, it could even be the police officer in charge of the case or the witness who lied.

Did you expect professional legal advice?

You know it is not free?

And in any case, based on no evidence, even the best barrister in the world could only advise based on assumptions.
