Hi there,

Recently i had an accident that wasn't my fault when i veered out the way of an oncoming car that came over onto my side of the road. The cars did not collide and i went into a raised curb, the other driver did not stop and drove away. Major damage to passenger side front wheel, and passenger side suspension with body damage.

i have a £3000 excess, with XS direct. They claim the car is a right off and their engineer valued the car at £24,000 when brand new in March 18 it was £37,000 value. They are now claiming it is not economically viable to repair. Car was sent to BMW approve garage as in BMW dealership, estimate of £16,000 all in.

They class it as Salvage: S?

Please help, is there anyway to convince them to repair the car?

Thanks,

On god xs direct again and their £3k excess

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Check book value for the car e.g. Parkers, Glass.co.uk. Negotiate the true market value of the car.

Insurers don't like large repair estimates because of hidden damage, problems with repairs etc. Experience tells them, it can prove to be a nightmare, if they authorised such extensive repairs.

You could get your own engineers report and see what work needs to be done, what the approximate cost would be.

Did you get the third parties registration number ?

We could do with some help from you.
