Printed off my credit report last month (Experian) and had the epic 'score' of 580....

Experian emailed me today to say there had been a change on my report.

Logged on to see that Southern Water had added a default to the report with a default date of June 2016, no great shakes to be fair because it improved my 'credit' score to 635!!!

However, I've not, nor ever have I, received a default notice?

What is the MO for these clowns? And why are Experian shockingly inept at processing personal data accurately?

Leave it two years for a default to appear on a credit file?

Who ever heard of someone getting a job at the Jobcentre? The unemployed are sent there as penance for their sins, not to help them find work!

Ha ha yes.... I did think that, seems the phone jockey had no idea either!

I'm sending them a sar anyway and have asked the data controller to explain why when the account wasn't rectified in 2015 they waited a further 12 months before marking the credit file.

  • 1 month later...

One letter and #southernwater have agreed that the default marker placed on my CRF is inaccurate and should have been added over 12 months ago as their default letter stated

As such they have removed the default and have agreed to my payments of £50 every four weeks.

I am very happy with the outcome!
