Hi,

My husband rents a black taxi and I have just received a PCN dated 14th June for a contravention that occurred on 12 Feb!

I am about to ring the taxi firm as I'm not 100% sure that he had this cab at the time (he has to swap them when they have to go in for repairs etc) but isn't 4 months a bit of a long time??

this is from TFL

The PCN would have been sent to the registered keeper first. The delay after that could have been caused either because the keeper was slow in responding; it took time to find out who the driver was at that time; the keeper got the wrong driver the first time or they gave TFL the wrong address for your husband, etc etc.

It will still be worth checking with the taxi company to make sure that your husband was driving at that time and is there a way to confirm that from his payslips? Also ask them why it has taken so long to get to you.
