DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Unlikely unless the request came from the landlord. As a tenant, the insurers would probably (and rightly so) ignore any request from the OP.

I agree. Anything between landlord and his insurer is likely to be part of the contract between them. You are (probably) not a party to the contract so they won't tell you anything. SAR was suggested. You've nothing to lose by asking but if it's a survey of the building for insurance purposes it's very unlikely to contain any personal information about you if you are a tenant so wouldn't be covered by a SAR request.

Perhaps if you tell the full story of whats happen and why you require it we could advise a different approach.

No the insurance would have said that the land lord is responsible as the damage is over a period of several years. The bath tub was next to a partition wall and the tiles were shot on this. The surveyor took pictures with a damp reader and has the percentage of damp etc showing on it.

So whats cooking today ?

Ultimately it doesnt matter what the cause is as long as your LL keeps the property in a decent state of repair and doesnt try and charge you for the damage. Asking for a report that is irrelevant will only wind the LL up so keep to formalities over the repair.
