hi we moved into a house association property when we

Received the property there was no fire alarms in property.

Who should have been responsible for this as a company is renting out the house

With my knowledge there should have been a fire safety check done and they should have fitted them as before I moved in someone else was living here and surprise when they renovated they did not fit fire alarms.

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

It’s not about the money iv obviously fitted one my self.

My point was if it was someone else vulnerable who moved in and don’t know much

And if there was a fire.

but might be better to point to that...

we that bother to help people … need to give a reason and alert people that they should need to spend money keeping themselves safe.

its the landlords problem...i'd be claiming the expense back from the housing association..

I agree that not all properties are required to have Fire Alarms as it is what were the Building regulations at the time the property was built.

What you need to do is contact your Local Fire Service (check there website) and ask if they do a Free Fire Safety Inspection and if so arrange an appointment. they may fit these for free.

I am in a Housing Association property and I purchased my own Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Alarms
