Hi wondering if you can help me.

Ive received a court order regarding a bus lane ticket

offence took place October 2017 and it was a hired car.

I also moved address before and have not received any correspondence to my new address regarding the bus lane ticket usually £30.

It was from Coventry city council and Newlyn is dealing with the order.

The fine is £198.

As I have not received any correspondence can I appeal this.

I have received correspondence for the tickets to my new address after October from Coventry council but don’t understand why it has taken this long for them to send me not a normal council letter request regarding payment instead received a court order for £198 from newlyn.

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

All correspondence regarding this contravention would have been sent to the vehicle hire company.

They in turn would have responded to Coventry Council to request that liability be transferred to you.

In this respect, the hire company would have provided the address that they held for you at the time of the hire.

I would suspect that the address was either the one provided by you (where you had moved from) or the address on your driving licence which I would assume was also your previous address.

In cases such as this, you may if you wish consider submitting an Out of Time statutory declaration to the Traffic Enforcement Centre. All bailiff enforcement will then be placed on hold for a short period of time (around a month or so).

Is the letter that you have received from Newlyn entitled Notice of Enforcement? If so, there will be a date provided by when payment must be made. What date is given?
