Hi,

my Dad who as the title says is 86, needs a new rise & recline chair and I said I would take him to the local specialist retailer to get one measured up and ordered,

I went to see him tonight and it turns out that he went himself to SCS 4 days ago and ended up ordering one that I think is unsuitable for him, and he paid in full in cash!

The chair can't be delivered for at least 7 weeks and I see on the invoice that they say they don't accept cancellations.

Is this even legal?

Its not a custom build or anything special, it's a G-Plan standard model chair.

I'm going to see them tomorrow to ask politely to cancel the order and refund him, and going by what I've seen on other threads I fully expect a "Sorry it's company policy" refusal.

How do you suggest I proceed after that?

Thanks in advance.

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...
