I see so many people on here and on many FB pages that are saying that the DWP say they owe an amount of money for various reasons, but when challenged the DWP are unable, sometimes, to say what the debt is from but still say it has to be repaid!

Is it not time that this was challenged? How can anyone be it an individual, company or government agency say you owe this amount but we are unable to show you proof?

Free dwp sar on their website

Put them to strict proof they can prove what is owed!!

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

The debt would be noted against National Insurance number, so yes send an SAR to the DWP department concerned.

To make sure it goes to the correct department, ask what debt type is noted.

If it is Tax crediits being recovered through a DWP, then send SAR to HMRC.

We could do with some help from you.

People do get sent letters at the time the original debt is calculated.

The letters would go to an address that should be up to date, if the claimant has had any contact with a Government department.

Everytime someone makes an application the address is updated centrally.

When the debt is subject to a repayment deduction, the claimant is advised and given a telephone number to call to raise any queries.

They can then establish who is wanting the deduction and can them send the relevant department an SAR.

When the SAR comes back they can challenge it as appropriate.
