While I am waiting for an N180 from the court, it might be worth mentioning that I will be in the Portishead area again next week. I'm anxious for advice on what sort of on-site checks I should do to build up my evidence base?

Yes, sorry. I've just started doing that.

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

if you'd told us early enough you had a claim

you would have followed this:

pop up on the MCOL website detailed on the claimform.

.

register as an individual

note the long gateway number given

then log in

.

select respond to a claim and select the start AOS box.

.

then using the details required from the claimform

.

defend all

leave jurisdiction unticked.

click thru to the end

confirm and exit MCOL.

.

get a CCA Request running to the claimant

leave the £1PO blank and uncrossed

.

get a CPR 31:14 request running to the solicitors

.

type your name ONLY

no need to sign anything

.

you DO NOT await the return of paperwork.

you MUST file a defence regardless by day 33 from the date on the claimform.

………….….

now somehow you logged in and did AOS

but didn't? use the portal to file your defence

[you never told us you could/didn't use mcol for that, and sent it via email..]

so i'd expect they've closed it now for your claim

though MCOL does have hissy fits till it gets reset.

typically you should still be able to view the status of the claim

but In all truth mcol has finished now anyway as its at the direction questionnaire stage...

lets hope you read up and get upto speed on the various stages now that you must go through now and don't miss important dates

else going by your jumbled past so far this could easily go bottoms up for you.

so mediation..which is a no no anyway

allocation to your chosen local court

and disclosures {WS} deadline.

Yes, I went through all that, but then my defence was too long to be accepted on the MCOL website, so I had to email it. I've done everything I was supposed to do.

Regarding my next move, I am now waiting to see whether I receive an N180 from the court.
