Hello everyone,

Yesterday I parked my car near the Camden Underground and paid two hours parking through my mobile.

I was planning of taking underground for a short trip which normally takes one hour but due to Camden Town underground station was shut and the roads around the Camden station were shut,

I ended up 30 minutes late back to my car and got a penalty charge note.

I never had any parking fine in the UK for many years and I always pay for my parking.

I was unable to extend my parking time due to the restriction of maximum two hours of parking at once.

I do not live in London and came from Milton Keynes.

I was unaware of these major closures.

Do you think I could appeal due to special circumstances like delays due to public transport delays etc?

Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Thank you

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

I doubt it

Yes there are photos online

It was here

My only defence could be the massive road works and underground closed. I parked there because I did not want to take my car to the central London.

I doubt if that will win you any brownie points.

Something like a terror alert resulting in sudden closures of the transport syatem would be a suitable case but finding out that the tube station was shut wont be.

Likewise road works, they didnt suddenly start after you aoprked so not a consideration.

Better just pay the reduced charge, it isnt much more than the daily parking rate

can you pop them up in ONE multipage PDF please

read upload.

that way people can choose to view them rather than being forced too use bandwidth up.

OK, I just write them and if it works would be great and if not, I will pay up to 50% discounted price. I will update here. I guess only 10% chance of winning.
