Hi.

I have recently set up a new retail venture and it was always a risk but so far it is showing signs of becoming something worthwhile. But obviosuly have a lot of work to go before I start making a comfortable wage.

I have council tax issues. I am not making enough money right now to pay house rent, gas, electric, food and then council tax (and the rest).

I have one bill from 2 years ago which I was disputing but as the council have all the power and we must submit to them they win.

Also on my current property they now want £450 aprox paid by March or some time.

They are trying to exercise their might and saying it needs paying and using the 'fear' words'..

Is there anything I can tell them or any kind of right I can exercise?

I just don't have the kind of money laying around to cough up to this lot.

Thanks in advance.

bump.

Are paying Business Rates separately?

Have you thought about applying for Council Tax Benefit or whatever it is called - they will ask for some financial records to show you are not making anything.
