Hi guys

two part question.

I got a square today loan that i had defaulted on for a fair few months and wasn't paying it back.

In May 2017 i got a letter advising me that they had decided to settle my account and i did not owe them anymore money. This was then removed from my credit file.(I have unfortunately lost the letter)

However since around October time this is now showing on my credit report again.

Does anyone have any ideas? or how i can contact them?

second part is i had a loan with lending stream that is currently showing as a 0 balance but is in default - whats the deal with that?

£0 typically means they are preparing to sell it on.

Square Today have written off all outstanding loans - They are prepping to sell the business.

This is the same firm that you have mentioned.

https://www.hilcoind.com/sale/Square/featured

The Company had carried out a “test and learn” phase over May-December 2016 and leant close to £1m through the website and platform (the loans were repaid during 2017 and outstanding borrowing was forgiven to expedite a wind down plan). The Company received a credit licence from the FCA in April 2016 ahead of the test and learn phase but this was voluntarily cancelled as part of the orderly wind down in August 2017.

I can reassure you your loan wont be sold - Its gone...

Website has been disabled on the backend while they are selling the firm. If you have a complaint - i suspect that you would need to find contact details for them or contact the FCA / FOS.

We could do with some help from you.
