My house caught fire via my neighbour who has admitted responsibility,

the insurance have made suggestions they may void Claim due to previous history not being divulged .

If this happens (not confirmed yet ) what steps would you suggest next ?

Sorry, but you will need to advise us exactly what previous history was not divulged.

Insurers under FCA ICOBS rules applying to Insurers cannot use minor non disclosures to avoid paying a claim. If the non disclosure was significant to Insurers in deciding whether they could provide Insurance, then they may be justified.

How did the fire start in your neighbours house ?

How was your neighbour responsible ?

Is this house owned by you ? Do you have a current mortgage ?

We could do with some help from you.

ICOBS document link. Section 8 claims handling.

https://www.handbook.fca.org.uk/handbook/ICOBS.pdf

It is written in a way that is not easy to understand, which is why we need more information. It is a case of looking at the non disclosure and working out whether Insurers would be justified in voiding the Insurance, therefore not paying a claim.

We could do with some help from you.

So theyve said previous history but not said what? Usually theyd be direct and not just state "previous history"

Any advice i give is my own and is based solely on personal experience. If in any doubt about a situation , please contact a certified legal representative or debt counsellor..
