You need to use a Benefits Calculator such as the link below. It will then detail what Benefits you may be entitled to and you then submit the application to DWP.

https://www.entitledto.co.uk/benefit-calculations/

Once you have submitted your application to DWP, you then have to arrange a meeting a your nearest Job Centre Plus with an advisor and they will run through all of your evidence. You will need to take with you forms of identity, details of any earnings, company accounts showing that you are not earning anything as a sleeping Director, plus any other documents relevant to your claim.

No point going through any further information at this point or answering any hypotetical questions you might have. Put your information into the Benefits Calculator and then start your applications with DWP.

You should be aware that in many parts of the UK, it is now Unversal Credit and not JSA that you will be trying to claim.

Nb. From February there is no 7 day waiting period, before any claim assessment period starts.

We could do with some help from you.

Close the Company (if you aint earing a coin what's the point? ) even charadees turn a profit or pay themselves handsomely Sir idiot geldof is just one example

If no income then why even tell them ? but have the evidence at hand to prove beyond reasonable doubt just in case

Why not they treat us with contempt, after all ?

You cannot make any assumption based on the limited info the OP provided. If in doubt, disclose information.

These days Government has access to many data feeds and at some point they might well become aware of this directorship of a limited company. Investigations might then follow and cause the OP grief which could have been avoided. Better to be upfront with such information and if there is any change of circumstances i.e money is earnt from this business, then they have to disclose it.
