we're sorry we have made a mistake

your account was recently transferred to ....from ...due to an error we started reporting this account on your credit file. we have informed the credit reference agencies to remove this account from your credit file which should be completed with the next 3 weeks...sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you

now i know they trashed my credit file because i saw it...so do i have any redress over it or is it because they are now removing it lets all be friends and ignore it? any ideas?

Depends on whether it caused you any hardship/grievance?

If you got turned down for a mortgage, or preferential loan/credit, OR were refused employment due to the inaccurate data on your file, then yes, you should sue them for defamation.

However, if they've admitted their error, and it caused no damage, then I wouldn't chance my arm tbh.

Who ever heard of someone getting a job at the Jobcentre? The unemployed are sent there as penance for their sins, not to help them find work!
