my UC payment was due,

logged on to check all was ok like I do every month.

They're paying me £24.

I usually get around £700.

They've said it's a system error and they can't give me a timeline just probably after Christmas I'll get it.

I'm due it in 2 days.

I have no food gas electric or money.

Civic centre can't help me,

disability means I can't go out right now so can't get to a food bank.

And to top it off I was just finishing paying my overdraft back I got to clear rent debt from the initial 6 weeks of no payment.

Now my bank said if it's not paid when I was due to be paid my account will be closed and there's nothing I can do about it.

I've sold everything I have.

(It's in cex to pick the money up tomorrow they had to test it all)

so I've made about £150 but I can't even pay rent now. UC said it's a Computer error and they don't know when it'll be fixed, just not for a while.

Social worker couldn't help me,

support worker couldn't,

both said they have 0 access to funds at the minute and told me to beg family

. I don't have any family.

I haven't done anything wrong it's UCS fault.

What the heck do I do,

it's absolutely freezing I haven't eaten in a couple days

and I can't afford to take my medication.

(Has to be taken in specific drinks I have to pay for which is £100+ a month ATLEAST, very rare issue)

And the £150,

I have to give bank £100 or my account will close I only really have £50 now.

Sorry unsure how to edit

but just to add due to medical condition I have to follow a STRICT no gluten no meat no dairy 10g of fat a day diet

, if I don't I'll be very ill

so foodbsnks are pretty out of the question anyway :/

If you are on UC - Have you considered asking for an advance? If its a cockup on their part then they need to sort it...

What happens when you ask to raise a complaint with UC?

We could do with some help from you.

I had an advance when I first claimed, so I can't get one.

I asked to see if this repayment could be paused then I'd receive £88 instead of £24 they said no I can't change my agreement.

When I raised my complaint via their website and journal and via phone I've been told the same.

Nothing they can do it's a technical error upto the technical team and they have 0 idea when it'll be sorted and I just have to wait.

They should beable to raise an advanced payment in the event of any error.

If they are not then you need to push with them. To leave you in the lurch is not good! :(

Be persistent with them and tell them you arent getting off the phone and will not close down the complaint until they sort the matter out.

Be prepared to get your MP involved.

Already got Mp involved And emailed no. 10.

See I thought that but they said because I haven't yet paid my last advance off I can't get another one,

they then asked if I had the money to pay it LOL obviously I didn't.

So I can't get one.

They're just saying I have to wait.

I spoke to her manager (lady on UC phoneline)

who said I could be waiting a while.

was advised to go begging, -___- so yeah I can't get an advance apparently!

They said the system isn't pulling up like my disability ect so No one can do anything till it's fixed and even when it's fixed I'll have to wait couple days for payment ughhh

Hi Abigail3434,

I had a problem with the DWP payment setup when I was awarded ESA and PIP. I got in touch directly with my MP at their main office locally. The Welfare Rights Worker was able to phone the relevant department and solve my problem, more or less instantly. (No faffing-about listening to Vivaldi)

RESOLVING PROBLEMS LIKE YOURS are the sort of thing your MP is there for. (Just in case they need reminding)

Good luck
