Hi

How many apartments are in the building?

Do all the apartments have Gas?

Check your deeds for the property for any clauses?

Who Factors/Maintains the Building? (if you know who this is speak to them and ask if permission for this gas pipe has been given and explain the fire risk i.e. front door)

Also have a wee chat with your local fire service and ask there advice as they may decide to just do a fire inspection so no harm asking.

As this is Northern Ireland and certain regulations are different I would advise contacting you local councils planning department just to see if any planning permission for this is required.
