After checking my credit report for the first time I have come across a default i knew nothing about. Is it possible to request information about this as I have no idea what its for.

Account type Telecommunications Supplier

Account number **************4557 0

Account start date 18/04/2012

Opening balance £ 38

Repayment frequency Monthly

Date of default 27/11/2012

Default balance £ 38

£38 seems like an amount that shouldn't affect my mortgage application but it does apparently. I can pay it of course but not if i don't know whats its for!

Whats the best way to get this removed from my report?

Merry Christmas and my regards.

you cant remove in sadly even if you pay it.

who is listed as the owner of the debt

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

you took out a mobile contract with 'whomever' 18/04/2012

you failed to pay £38 and on 27/11/2012 they registered a default and sold the debt to lowells DCA.

either you wait till next nov when it falls off

or you rack your brain to remember who you signed up to them

and attack them.

though I will say that a mortgage company [a prime lender]

have all gone down on record as saying a simple mobile default will not realise a refusal.

if this is a broker, or sub prime lender

sadly all they are trying to do is screw you for more money...as they will.

and they should not be legally doing so
