I hope I'm not tempting fate,
    but neither my machine,
nor any of the 3 I have updated for people have (yet!) had problems,
(or for those machines that had problems, 'less problems'!)

try the sfc dx mentioned, see if that works.
that wasn't why i ditched it (ie no sfc probs), i just didn't like it overall.
an alternative? up to you, do a search. though avira free seems to be ok.

i know. i was saying try that sfc you suggested to see if it sorts the 360 operation.
(and, i didn't like 360 anyway even with no sfc issues)
otherwise, a poss alternative to 360 could be avira...

don't know, seems to be a subscription one?
if you're after a 'free' one have a search; eg 'best free antivirus'
there is also the MS inbuilt ones; mse, win defender (do you have those turned off when you're using another real time antivirus? using more than one real time at the same time will slow things down and may cause conflicts)
