Hi,

I've just switched electricity supplier and they debited my bank account for the monthly payment on the same day I switched over to them. As I was expecting to pay a month in arrears this has left me short of cash.

Is it normal for them to do that? Doesn't seem right.

If you have chosen to make payment by Direct Debit you will have completed the Direct Debit set up process. Your first payment will be made on or around your supply start date.

As a matter of interest, how much do you agree that they could take each month on direct debit?
