I wanted to take out a loan for £3800 around two years back.

because I knew I would be rejected because of my poor credit rating, I asked a relative.

Since then, I've paid off ALL of the balance, through my relatives bank account, i.e., I send her the money, she pays the finance company etc.

Now since I have

a) myself paid ALL the balance and

b) have statements proving where the money went (from me>her>finance company),

is there any way I could use this to better my score, like in a big way?

nope.

so why is your score low?

or why do you need it not to be?

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Not a particularly in depth response. Why 'nope'?

One would presume that if I proved to the finance company that I had paid all the balance myself, and not my relative, that this would go on my file, thus repairing my credit score somewhat?

Secondly, it's low because I've borrowed in the past and not paid back

the loan was not taken out in your name so will not ever show on your file..

there is no such thing as 'repairing your credit file'

if you've got defaults, there nowt you can do till those reach their 6th birthday and cause whatever debt they are associated with to be removed from your file.

donen't mean the debt is statute barred or not owed mind.

nope means no instant fix.

You asked someone to apply for loan in their name and forward the money to you, which you eventually refunded to that ind. with no written Agreement?

Within current Banking legislation that could be construed a Money Laundering activity.
